Duwayne Langley is a qualified electrician, time served carpenter, plumber, tiler, plasterer, kitchen and bathroom fitter. He can fix virtually anything (except electric cars!!) and is always happy to lend a hand so ‘handyman’ seems the best way to describe his line of work.
Originally from South Africa, he grew up fixing things. His first earnings were from fixing broken lawnmowers and selling them at age 15 and he spent much of his youth fixing old cars and motorbikes. Since moving to UK he has worked as a finishing foreman for Taylor Woodrow Homes, a site manager for ROK, refurbished kitchens and bathrooms for Penwith Housing Association, managing the refurbishment contract for Anchor Trust Sheltered Housing and finally as Clerk of Works and Responsive Repair officer with DCH.
Now he works for himself, based at his man cave / workshop at the Mushroom Farm. Besides doing all sorts of jobs, he also runs a stretch tent business in the summer time, looks after his bee hives, is a regular volunteer at the St Ives Community Orchard. and spends his occasional spare time surfing and hanging out with wife, kids and friends.
Contact Duwayne Langley if you need a hand. If he isn’t available he can refer you to many other local tradesmen that he highly recommends.
